lurker and bugler are simply "ranks" depending solely on your number of posts on the forum. Later, you can get to 3, 4, and 5 valves. "Professional" is a title granted to those who make the majority of their living playing the horn or teaching...you can only get this title by applying for it with the moderators.

Adding an avatar is easy...click on the "User Control Panel" in the upper left (under the "TubeNet" logo). Then click the tab for "Profile" then "Edit Avatar" on the left of the screen. You can upload a picture directly from your computer or from an internet source (not a copyrighted image, please).
