Any Ideas?



It use to have a loop in the tuning slide which made it play in my favorite key, (E). Now, with a slight mod. it plays in F. The brass seems to have a LOT of copper and is about the thickness of a beer can, maybe a little thicker. It actually sounds nice. Tuba Tinker- It has been hanging on my wall for a few years so I thought I'd take it down, clean it up, and get a MP for it. I will use it for Tuba Christmas. Ho Ho Ho.

That's such a common design from 100 years ago and more than it could have been made by anybody, it seems to me.

If it played in E, it was probably an Eb tuba in high pitch, possibly modified to be such for, say, the American market with the looped slide.
