All You Owners Of Early 184's . . .

You know who you are . . .
I am trying to see if I can locate the current whereabouts of a friend's formerly-owned mid-60's 184 CC. He had the tuba since new, for roughly 20 years or a little longer, and at least one owner ago. No other specific objective in mind, we would both just like to know what happened to it (although if the owner was tired of it, some repatriation might be possible).
It is serial number 2899, with a left hand fifth valve, 2-3 combination equivalent.
Please feel free to contact via PM. Thanks in advance for any info on the horn. It's always the ones that got away . . .
