Rare VMI CC tuba

Post by Mwtuba32 »

Does anyone know the model number of the 4/4 5 rotary VMI tuba that was based on the Meinl-Weston 32's body? The only difference between the two tubas is the valve seciton.

Depends. There may or may not be any viable used ones left. And if M-W still has the tooling, and a prospective purchaser has the cash, I'm sure they'd make one.

A student of mine bought one a few years back. Not a bad horn at all. Well made, good response and tone.

I had one for a spare. Sold it to someone on this board. I thought it was a great horn for the price, a few tweaks and I might have sold my perantucci.
Peace.
