What's the largest euphonium/tenor tuba/...?

By which parameters?

Willson, along with Sterling, is among the very few makers, which measure the bore of their instruments as the outer diameter of the male branches of the 2nd slide. Hence their own model presentations are not comparable of those from most other makers.

I haven't been keeping up with the most recent Euphonium developments (namely with the Hirsbrunner and Sterling models that have been going through some rapid developments in recent years) but a few years ago it was Miraphone that made the largest Euphonium in their 1281 model (and I'm guessing the newer Ambassador uses similar specifications). The spec says .610 for the horn and .640 for the 4th valve slide. A friend of mine at my uni owns a Miraphone 1281 and it's a noticeably "larger" horn (in size) than my Willson. The Miraphone bell is also 12 inches, which is about as large as they get with a few exceptions (ie. the Willson 2950).

Didn't French C tubas have @ .600 to .640 bore to go with their six valves?

The sterling had a horn in the mid 90's that had a .7+ bore on the compensating side, I believe. I think for bore size that kind of raps this up. The bell front kaiser baritone by miraphone has a 13" bell on it... that is pretty large. Not sure if there are any 14'' bells out there but this one is pretty large.

If you are talking volume achieved before tone spread in all registers, I would have to submit my Kalison tenor tuba. It has a very loud breaking point.

I would expect the Rudolf Meinl Kaiser Baritone might be on the large side of things if it follows their pattern of "Texas sized" instruments. I checked into these a couple of years back, but decided to stick with what works for me (Tuba). I do not know how this would compare in size to the Alexander tenor tuba.

My Alexander 151 has a .610 bore.
