Have you considered using an Alan Baer MMVI?

The one I tried it with, I liked VERY much. The Parke Ofenloch.

Look at the line of Perantucci MP's - you may find something you like there.

Not specifically for this tuba, but for big tubas in general, I prefer mouthpieces that do not try to achieve the darkest possible sound. The instrument is big enough to create the needed depth--you don't need the mouthpiece to do that.
I have used a PT-48 and a Stofer Geib on big tubas with good success.

You should email Alan Baer about his preference for 6450 mouthpieces.

On my big tuba (a 6/4 19something Martin), I found that my normal Helleberg 7B's rim is too sharp for a horn of that size. I actually use a Bach 24AW on it because of the gentle rim, and it makes the more air that the horn needs a lot easier.

I use a Laskey 28H on mine.
