I am so happy with my new bags, I thought I would share these photos I took tonight with the class. I wanted to post these when I got them about a month ago, but I didn't have time and couldn't find the camera.
My two lovely babies: Hirsbrunner HB-2 on the left, Meinl Weston 182 on the right

They look so naked, they need some clothes! I just found out you can only upload 3 files at a time, so I will spread this out into 3 posts...

I can't begin to express my gratitude to Glenn Cronkhite... We sent several emails back and forth, because he wanted to make sure he knew EXACTLY what I wanted, and he absolutely delivered. If anyone is considering getting a bag for their tuba, you really should talk to Glenn. I can't even tell you how much more comfortable this bag is on my back compared to the one it is replacing. I think it may be due to the other bag not being custom fit for the horn, so it sits sagging down. Anyways, just thought you guys might be interested in my photo fun I had tonight!
P.S. Thanks to Bill for getting the proverbial ball rolling for the MW182 bag with this thread:

If it wasn't for you, I probably would still be wishing I would get it done...

It was truly my pleasure to get the 182 bag thing started with Glenn Cronkhite but without his skill and what seemed like a bit of magic, he was able to make the 182 bag and it fits like a kid glove. He is terribly skilled and really conscientious in what he does, how he approaches it and the result of his work. I am thrilled with the two bags I have gotten from him and would not hesitate to get others, if I needed them. Here is a URL for my182 bag:

Our two horns look different because of the 5th valve configuration but the bags fit so well, despite the extra "Twin Towers" on my horn.
Thanks for letting is know that all the work we have gone through has resulted in another stock bag.
And, don't you just love the 182? What a sound!
