A Chain of Events

So as some of you know, I had bought an Alexander F tuba a while ago. Great horn but after playing it for a while I started getting really bad pains in my left hand from it holding the horn and using three valves at once. So I talked to Bob Rusk about having it changed to a 4+2 setup and all was going to be well. However, I told the last owner and former teacher what I was planning to do and he asked me not to and said he would buy the horn back. So I respected his offer and sent him back the horn (well it's packed and ready to ship) and I was about to pull my York F ad but I decided that I would do that after I got back from Seattle. While I was there I played every horn they had and this one horn just jumped out at me. It was the goldbrass Firebird. I just seemed to connect with this horn. So after working it out with Steve (great guy) I brought it home with me. I just found it interesting that this would not have happened if this whole chain of events didn't happen and wanted to share my story. I'll take some pictures of my new F after I fix my camera.
