Hi everyone,

I just got this in an e-mail. Please let me know if you find this tuba, as it's obviously something that is very rare and going to be hard to get rid of without someone noticing. Thanks!

Hello fellow collectors,

I¹d like to make you aware of a Henry Lehnert
side-action-rotary-Allen-valve ³German silver² ³Centennial² model bass
that was stolen. You can see photos of it at:
http://www.horncollector.com/Low%20Bras ... 0Bass.htm.

This bass was part of a trade that I did with Jon Korzun. Before
shipping this instrument to me Jon let someone in his band borrow it for
a Tuba Christmas. I learned today that this person left this bass in his
unlocked car where it was stolen. We are now trying to track it down.
From my understanding it was stolen about 3-4 weeks ago. Jon lives in
Indiana, but it could show up anywhere. Please let me know if you hear
of it turning up somewhere.

Regards,

Eric Totman

Which pitch? Eb?

This is a beauty. Very sad that it has been lost due to irresponsibility.

Simple solution: the guy who left it in his unlocked car should buy another or replace it with a modern copy. It should cost no more than $6000. After all, he is responsible.

Caveat lender!
