OK, I'll ask... since I might have a need for a change over like this. How much do those Chinese parts cost and how hard is it to order them? I used to have one of those Chinese tubas and I liked how the linkages felt. Now I am helping fix up an "old" BBb 186-4v that could possibly use upgrading for my community band to loan to player.

Hi, Dave!

I do service work on some of the Asian imports. I have access to the paddle assemblies and generally keep a set here for quick replacements. I've used them on older European tubas in situations where the original linkages were missing or destroyed. I don't normally sell the sets outright but did send my 'spare' set to Joe. In terms of having to spend time making parts... or buying genuine parts, these assemblies are fairly cost-effective. Rather than discuss prices here, please send me an email.
