May the perpetrators find themselves outnumbered by behemoth tubists one day, who then in turn give each of their jaws a Tony Soprano style curb stomp and beating to remind them of their misdeeds.

They weren't college students. They weren't even old enough to be in college. They were just punk kids.

Man... I used to picture myself outside an arena before a game taking requests like he did. I used to fantasize about it and tell myself how cool I would be ... and now he is dead ... man that sucks

"Anymore"?? When was there ever any respect for street musicians?

At least posthumously, Ed got for more recognition and respect than most street musicians ever get, perhaps more than any ever has. During his life, by most accounts he may have gotten more respect than average, but when it came to finances he was like any street musician. Had he survived into old age, then he would have really seen what kind of respect society has, and has always had, for street musicians.

From what has been told, a lot of people really liked Ed. He would frequently get tickets to the games and become really friendly with people. I think he was happy with his lot in life.

However, you would wonder what would happen when he was too feeble to work the streets any more.
