By far, the best is NY Phil with Bernstein. IMO

the Columbus Symphony released an excellent recording under Hirokami last year. From a tuba's perspective its very NICE!

Chicago did "THE" recording, IMO, in the late 60's, I think. I once compared 10 different recordings, and that was by far the best. IIRC, it was Szell. I haven't seen a copy of that in a long time, unfortunately.

Chicago Symphony has a good one. Thanks for posting this also, Im going to be playing it in the Georgia Youth Symphony Orchestra for our next concert, and i need some ideas for recordings too.
