Name Our Tuba Quartet!!!

We are an exciting new tuba quartet looking for a name!
Quartet Fact Sheet:
- The quartet is comprised of Stephanie Frye (tuba), Jennifer Jester
(euph), Jamie Lipton (euph), and Mary MacKinnon (tuba).
- Our locations (respectively) are Wisconsin, Maryland,
Texas/Arkansas, and Indiana.
- Our debut performance will take place at Tubonium (a.k.a. Midwest
Regional ITEC) in April!
If you have suggestions for a quartet name, please add to this thread
or send me (CrappyEuph) a PM.
We realize we are opening ourselves up for some joke posts here, so if
you absolutely must post your hilarious but unusable idea, please give
us a break and toss in some real suggestions as well!
If we decide to use your idea, you will receive our eternal admiration
and gratitude, and maybe also a cash prize!
Thanks in advance!

When faced with your problem, in 1979, I named my new Tuba Quintet Brass Bottom and I copyrighted the name. Brass Bottom was chosen because we were the low brass section of the Bellingham, WA, Civic Band. Be sure you copyright whatever name you choose; it should identify only you!
Big Brassettes?
Musica Profunda Bassa?
Good luck. I would love to hear you play when you get around to recording.

Forget about coming up with a name and just introduce yourselves as the "Uncalled Four".

"Uncalled Four" -- I like that! Puns are *usually* worth considering (although not always -- when I was in college, my brass sextet seriously considered calling itself the Brassholes, but our faculty advisor "strongly discouraged" us from going there, "no matter how accurate it might be"

). So:
... the "TBA Quartet" (TuBa Announced)? (could also be TBC -- TuBa Continued)
... if this were a South African group, the "Conical Boer Quartet" might work, but not here, I think.
... the "Colbert Quartet", perhaps? His name's also in the running for the new Space Station module, but I doubt he'd mind the extra publicity (you could ask).

Junction is the name of a bar in Bowling Green at which the ladies where having lunch while thinking of names.

D'oh! (tm) Don't know why *this* didn't occur to me before:
The Confluence Quartet (or simply "Confluence")
con·flu·ence
NOUN:
1. a. A flowing together of two or more streams.
...b. The point of juncture of such streams.
...c. The combined stream formed by this juncture.
2. A gathering, flowing, or meeting together at one juncture or point.
Also incorporates the idea of "fluence" (or "being fluent", if you prefer), as well as the "conical bore" theme.

Did somebody say Low Blow already? if so it stuck in my head. If not, here it is. Low Blow Brass?
You probably want something more sophisticated though. Aaack...sometimes location wins out. Like there is Dallas Brass, Canadian Brass, probably other X Brass names. Contrabass Brass. Bass Brass. Too bad Tuba Four is taken...(and I won't say Bras Brass like all the guys are thinking.)

I must admit, "Brass Ears" did come to mind, but I thought it'd be a bit "over-the-top" (hope you'll pardon yet-another-pun

) ...

Or go for the sponsorship route, grab up some 2J's and 56J's and be the "Connfluence."

Hellz Belles (maybe a tad edgy?)
Brass Belles or Brassy Belles (hard to say, and sounds a lot like brass balls, but brassbelles.com & brassybelles.com are both available)
Belles Up (bellesup.com is available)
Silver Belles is probably already taken
Belles on Their Toes
Four Belles (navy connotation)
Belle Aire
Bassbelles (Cactus league's on my mind)
Deep Devotion (I like this one, and deepdevotion.net/org is still available)

The Bodacious Oom-pahs! (sorry, I just HAD to)
The Low Ladies
Add two more players and you'd have The Fairer Sextet
The Broad Tones
The Deep Dames
. . . I'll keep working.
