My wife and I are looking for some music suggestions. She is a Mezzo Soprano, although she can sing either soprano or alto. I obviously play the tuba so we are looking for a piece or two that we could do in the very near future. Thanks to the TNFJ for any help.

If you can both keep from laughing while performing it, "Songs for Soprano and Tuba" by Rodger Vaughan. Be sure your wife knows how to pronounce "Bobo".

Galdenlieder, for Soprano (or tenor) and Tuba, by Jan Koetsier. Not for he faint of heart though, you'll get a work out out of this one. It's a doozy.

I heard Toby Hanks and someone perform the Leuduke Wonderland Duets with Jan DeGaetano (sp?) on the narrator's part back in the 70's and it was very effective. It might be fun as these are not done to often and it is great music.

All the best.

Over the summer, my friend wrote me and a girl who was into me (a mezzo...don't ask) a piece...the tuba part is fairly high, as he knows I am a good high range player, but it's kinda overkill. Personally, I would play it on a euph...if you pm me your email address, I can ask him to send it over to you.
