G+W rims, same diameter = same rim?

Does anybody know if the G+W Taku, Williwaw, and Diablo lite all have the same rim?
Has anybody sat down and played those three side by side? If so, which one had the best low register response? Care to compare or contrast otherwise?
Thanks,
Christian

I've played all three side-by-side -- the old-style, heavier versions, though. I'm not sure how different the newer ones are.
My impressions (on a Mira 184 CC):
Williwaw. Try as I might, I just couldn't make good sounds with this piece. I'm not sure what it was exactly, but all of my notes seemed fuzzy, intonation was off--it just felt wrong in every way to me.
Diablo and Taku. I found these to be very similar and liked them both. I played on them both quite a bit in trying to decide. Though I found the Diablo just a hair easier to play, I ended up buying a Taku because I felt it gave me more flexibility to change the color of the sound and more balls in the low end.
In speaking with Ivan Giddings about my experience, he said that I must be a player who like to push a lot of air through the horn.
YMMV

If I recall correctly, the rims of the Diablo and Taku were very similar and the Williwaw a bit more rounded, but this was a couple of years ago, so . . .
Give Ivan a call. I'm sure he'd be happy to tell you more (and more accurate) detail. (253) 381-8346
BTW, I also played the Caver side-by-side with these. I really loved it, but felt it was beyond my modest abilities to control properly. If I were marching with a sousy, the Caver would definitely be my choice. For me: HUGE, core-filled sound, but too easy to blat with.
