So I found this awesome Kalison CC pro 2000, which i think is 5/4. It has that big dark sound that I really like and it has no dents or dings, and the valves and trigger work really well and plays pretty in tune except for the high A flat, but the only problem is that it's scratched pretty bad by the bow and the spot right under the mouthpiece receiver, and the guy wants 3600 dollars for it.I'm a junior in high school and am planing on being a tuba mayor and this will be my first time purchasing a tuba for myself and am not to sure if the tuba is actually worth the 3600.I thinks it's a good opportunity for me but I want to know your guys opinion.

My teacher had one of those sitting in the basement of the concert hall, and lent it to me. It's not a bad horn...I would say that it's about a 4/4-5/4 range, a little bigger than my CB50. The problems that it has though...thin metal, which apperantly dents easily. You can take it apart, which if you have a short attention span, might happen during a rehearsal (fun as that may be, it's not really a good idea)
I think that price is pretty reasonable, but it's up to you...is the horn worth that much to you, or would you wake up the next morning saying "this horn isn't good enough to be worth that price"
Oh, and the Ab isn't a bad note if you don't think it is. I first got it, and could hit it perfectly. Then my teacher told me that the Ab was a funky note, and I stopped being able to hit it as easily.
