I agree - we heard Don Harry, in 1978, in LA at the 2nd or 3rd ITEC and he is just amazing - what a beautiful sound! I was unaware that there was no recording of his playing - there should be a recording.

I'll third that! There are a lot of amazing players out there but Don takes a breath and music just pours out of the bell.

Screw the Solo Album, it will just confirm what everyone already knows: Don is the finest tuba player on two very large feet in the known galaxy.
What I want is a compendium of all Don and Lon's Answering Machine Messages. The only time I ever came remotely close to pissing my pants was the message for Lon and Don's Speech Therapy Clinic. Priceless, absolutely priceless.
Avenge the Spam!!!!!

The "Buffalo Talkin' Proud School of Self Confidence" phone message belongs in the Answering Machine Hall of Fame, along with the McKenzie Brothers, "How many tuba players does it take to eat a squirrell?" and the "Arkansas Institute of Technology, where they invented the clarinet".
A solo CD by Don would be wonderful. He is a world-class artist and human being.
