Los Angeles-area tubists:

Hi Folks,

There are a few horns I'd really like to try/try again. Rather than flying around the country to do so, I was hoping they might reside somewhere near my home.

What I get: a half-hour or so with your horn.
What you get: 1) Proof that you're not the worst tubist out there. 2) Beer.

The horns:

Cerveny Piggy
Cerveny CCB-683
B&S PT-3 or PT-4
Yamaha YCB-621

Unless you're in central or west L.A., it'd probably be a weekend day. E-mail or PM me. Thanks!

Not an exact match, but I have a mid-90's PT-6, and we ship out tomorrow for the Left Coast. Anaheim, specifically.

Thanks, Mr. JP, but a PT-6 is bigger than I'm bargaining for.

Certainly you've read the standard and frequent "try the specific horn you're going to buy, not just one of the same model". That's not my point, necessarily, but to re-over-emphasize that with a Piggy, should you like it (and I think you will...) you MUST try the specific horn. Any Cerveny, I'd say that, as the same model can vary widely from one serial number to the next sequential number. You have a great idea, wish I was anywhere out there with any of those horns...I like beer!!
