I hope I don’t embarrass Marty with all the praise about this CD, but I can't help myself! I got a copy of "You and I" last summer at ITEC and have just now had the time to sit down and listen to it, which I’ve done now at least four or five times since last night. “You and I” with Wycliffe Gordon and Marty Erickson is a real treasure! Backed by a great rhythm section with Ronald Newman-Piano, Dane Richeson-Drums, and Mark Urness-Bass, this quintet smokes from bottom to top, from the top to the bottom of the CD! I only regret that it has taken me almost a year to enjoy it. As tuba players we should do everything we can to help support each other’s endeavors and this is a CD that has something for everyone. It’s filled with great tuba playing, but more importantly great musicianship! I hope everyone will get it and not wait a year to listen to it. It’s something that “You and I” should all have in our libraries!

I have this CD as well...AMAZING, definitely a must have for any collection!

The first time I heard Wycliffe Gordon my jaw fell on the floor. Wow!

Marty Erickson ain't no slouch either. I'll have to get this CD.
