One of the horn lists provided this link for a Swiss site with free downloadable music for various ensembles with an emphasis on brasses:

The ensemble sizes vary from trio and upwards. I looked at a Mahler arrangement for 16 brasses including 2 tubas, but haven’t browsed all of the libraries.

I had the pleasure of performing with Fred M. a couple of times recently. Once with the entire orchestra in which he seemed tired and dropped some notes and had a little trouble with a couple of pieces. I'm in no way bashing him or complaining. He is a virtuoso and is very entertaining and speaks very well. The audience got a kick out of his stories. After that performance, Fred made a B-line to come meet the brass. He shook some hands and I heard him ask where the tuba player was as I was in the back putting my stuff away. I heard him make the statement "you have a very impressive tuba player". When they came and got me, Fred says your a "damn good tuba player". Coming from Fred, this is the greatest complim ent one could get. Anyway he suggested that we do a "brass only" concert and his graduate students, The Bulldog Brass Society,and some of his arrangements and do a concert. We did that concert and his students were amazing as well as Fred himself. If you ever get to perform with him, your in for a treat. Both times he didnt't want to leave. We all just stood around and talked. Great guy.
