Hi everyone,
I have an old leather gig bag that I've been planning to replace, but I want to get it cleaned. Physically it's not *dirty*, but the inside smells musty as it if had been stored in a basement for some time.
I tried simply airing it out and using a healthy amount of Febreeze, but now it just has the scent of Febreeze in addition to the musty smell.
Any suggestions out there?

Re: Cleaning a leather gig bag?
a low tech solution would be to sprinkle liberally some baking soda, zip up the bag and agitate, let sit over night, then shopvac out the baking soda. 'Musty-ness' is usually related to mositure and mold, the baking soda tends to dry stuff like that and absorb odors.
