Some sort of Silent Brass System for just the mouthpiece?
I have a practice mute, but I am interested in something just for the mouthpiece (so I can still buzz, but it will get muted). Anyone know if something like this exists?

You may be thinking of something like the B.E.R.P.
I had an original metal one and sold it some years back, I believe they are black plastic now. Some people keep them permanently attached to their leadpipes.

FWIW, I prefer just buzzing the mouthpiece, and can always cover the tip partially with my pinky if any resistance is desired. I find that the lack of resistance in mouthpiece buzzing is more desirable, as it tends to build chops and breathing in ways that practicing on the horn doesn't.

I've heard of and used a BERP...the resistance isn't quite what I'm going for. I'm looking for something to mute the mouthpiece so when I get the urge to practice at 3AM, I can do something other than just go out to my car
