I've always liked the Technique Today and other books by Ployhar. I like the fact that these are derived from that system---it's a shame that good books like that fell out of favor to more "colorful" * books.
*the newer ones with multiple colors on a page to "hold the attention" of the younger students. whatever happened to just practicing and learning to play?
