Mouthpiece replating

Post by skeath »

Does anyone have a recommendation for a shop to replate a mouthpiece with a reasonably fast turn-around? I flattened the rim on a Laskey, for a substantial improvement, but need to cover up the raw brass pretty soon.

Thanks.

Contact Vladimir @ Dillon Music. Dillon's has in-house plating, and they do a fantastic job, having replated my Curry 128D after Vladimir recontoured the rim for me. This is the type of replating they do best. Contact them first before sending in the mouthpiece, because if the mouthpiece needs any prep tidying up or buffing, Vladimir can do that, of course, before plating so it is as smooth a job as possible.
