I have never marched (much) and the school I am currently attending doesn't have a marching band. Is this going to be a disadvantage when/if I transfer to another probably larger University?

Amy,

Probably not a big disadvantage. You are always playing "catch-up" when you transfer... so this will just be one more thing. Most university marching bands do not do MBA type drill, so you can probably keep up. Most bands also spend enough time in fundamental marching instruction at camp to make sure everyone has the same marching style concepts firmly in mind. You should be fine, after all, you will not be majoring in marching.
Of course, this is just my opinion. And since it was free, your money back if not completely satisfied.
