I'm looking for the specs on the Dillon G3....anybody? Even personally measured specs would be helpful.

These are IMHO very fine all-around mouthpieces. I would say the inside diameter on mine is 33mm. The rim is about 7.7mm. I wouldn't call it flat but I wouldn't call it extremely rounded either. The inside edge has good bite but is no where near Helleburg sharp. A 5/16" drill bit passes through the bore easily but a 21/64" bit does not so the bore is somewhere in the 8-8.2mm range. I'll try a highly subjective evaluation of depth based on what I have at hand for comparison. If a Doug Elliott R cup is a 10 and a Mirafone C4 is a 1 I'd call the G3 an 8.

I used to have a brochure laying around. I'll see what I can find. Nice horn by the way. I would love to have one of those. I'm pretty sure that it would take the Large Shank Dillon.

After some unfortunate events that I am not going to address here, it appears that redesigning the Dillon line may not happen. I for one would like to see that happen, but we'll see.

Thanks for the measurements MikeS....also, I hope you can find the brochure ZNC, I'm willing to bet I'm not the only one who would like to see it.

Please Email me:
Matt@dillonmusic.com and I will send you a copy of the Dillon Tuba mouthpiece specs in a Microsoft Word attachment.
It doesn't seem to line up when I copy and paste it in here. If I ever get caught up on repairs I'll start trying to learn more about computers.[/quote]

I have a G3 that I don't use anymore because it doesn't fit well in my horn. The shank worked well with my Mirafone 186. It gets totally swallowed by my PT6.
