Unitec Lite Flite Cases

Post by Tubainsauga »

There was a reference to a case of this type made for a Rudy Meinl 5/4 that weighed 40 pounds (not including the horn, they're not THAT light). At some level, this seems too good to be true though I am in the market for a flight case for my Neptune and this would seem to be an ideal solution. I've measured and weighed my Neptune and it seems to be roughly the same size as the Rudy 5/4 (20" bell, 40" tall) and it weighs under 30 pounds by my measure (27 on my bathroom scale). Does anyone have any info on these cases. I sent an email to TubaDome but they never responded. Any thoughts?

I arranged for John's 5/4 Rudy case to be built for him. WWBW can order these for you. Material costs are a little higher these days, but WWBW can make all the arrangements. You will need to get a detailed measurement chart to me (or them) so that they can make sure of the fit of the instrument. The folks at Unitec have been very good to work with and have often gone above and beyond to get things to work out right for their customers. I have a lot of respect for their products, their work ethics and their people.

Just my $0.02.
