Hi,
I just bought one of those large CC Holton York copies (I think from the 70's) and I was wondering what was the consensus on the best gig bag for such a beast?
Thanks for your help!

Check the construction methods.
Ideally some heavy nylon straps should encircle the entire bag, so that the weight is contained and supported from below. Then those straps become the handles or backpack straps. Or the handles and/or backpack straps attach to those wrap-around straps.
Point of failure is usually a handle or strap attachment point.
Good luck and happy hunting!

Thanks for the sugestions, guys. I don't have any extra straps lying around, but maybe blokes bag would be good for short hauls from the car to the gig... I can probably get the straps put on by someone.

As I read bloke, the Dolly should come with a dolly.

This is a decent bag for lugging a large tuba to the car and for short hauls to the job site. But long hauls are not fun. If you want the bag it is in GREAT shape save for the straps. You could get it and add straps later. I almost rigged up an old external back pack frame to it.
Yup. That is indeed the bag. Tenons?
