Hi Everyone This is a Great Picture ,,,Tim Sullivan (The Tuba Man) From Switzerland mid way of a 9 day stay to built and repair Bass Horns .. He has about 10 horns at place. He is on my back deck, At Home & shop in Boyertown,Pa.

Hi Thats a King Eb Tuba .The Bell can be made nice again. (YES ITS TRUE!!).. Tim put a 4 rotoy valve set in body just to play it .I think it may be the next project .The next time he comes to Pa. Tim has alot work ,alot of Ideas and alot of project.I love making old horns play again. Thanks Harv.

Wonderful image and posts, Harv. A true inspiration.

Thank goodness there is no cash for clunkers program (mandatory destruction in exchange for scrap/salvage value) for tubas.

There is also a camoflage cimbasso too which no one has commented on yet.

I know Harv does great work so everytime I see him I challenge him and he always rises and exceeds that challenge.

Some of the things we have done are:

-cut two Conn 20J's into CC and added 5 valves.
-made a contrabass French horn
-made a contrabass trumpet
-rebuilt a silver King CC
-made a cimbasso
-made a few contrabass trombones
-and of course all the sousaphones
etc...

I hope someday to have more time and tell more about the instruments as well as post pictures.
