Tubenetters:
My quartet may be doing an Octoberfest type gig (in September!), but we need music!!!
I am aware of Ray Grim's collection of polkas. I am looking for some other suggestions, as well. Any collections that include German waltzes?
Thanks!

There are some 'interesting' things on the Sibelius web site.

As someone who has played and will play Ray's arrangements, you will not find better charts for a tuba/euph quartet.

I have a bunch of quick (read: not inspired... but work) arrangements of polkas and waltzes. Send me a PM with an email address and they are yours.

You should also contact Ray directly (though he seems to be on vacation or something--haven't seen him post for a while--not that I've been watching closely of late). What he has published is only a fraction of what he has available that he might be able to loan you.

Tucker Jolly at Akron U has many polkas and tunes appropriate for the occasion which he uses for his "Tuba Summer". They're his arrangements, I think. I'm sure someone here is a graduate of his that can tell us where to get the book without waiting until next Tuba Summer!

I compiled a melange of German drinking songs I called "Ach du lieber Bierstein" our tuba quartet played at the intermission of our band's summer concert. Message me if you are interested.

Tucker Jolly's music is available through FTW Publishing. I bought a set of 'Song and Dance for Tuba Ensemble' a year or so ago. The website only has an email address up...
