Hey I was wondering if people could measure the difference between the up and down positions of their euphonium and post it here. I am most interested in getting the valve throw measurements of: Willson 2900, 2950/60, 2975, New Bessons, York 4052, Miraphone 56A, Meinl Weston Phoenix, yamaha 842, and the Miraphone 5050. Thanks for your help!!

You didn't ask for Yamaha, but just in case you might need them. Using a metal ruler, the best I could measure was:
Yamaha 641 (YEP-641) = 7/8"
Yamaha 642 (YEP-642) = 15/16" (but, felts are worn and need replacing)
Yamaha is known for having a pretty long action.

I think the 642 and 842 have the same valve block...the hand brace is just in a different position.
I always felt like my 642 had long valves, but then I measured them (unscientifically, just with a pencil) one time against a Willson (which I really like the valve throw) and found it to be longer on the Willson. I think it's a combination of the poor hand brace placement on the 642 and the desing of the caps looking taller than they are that makes people think they have a very long throw. I'd like to know for sure though, so hopefully other people can measure their euph valves!

Not on your list, the Yamaha 321 is approx 0.82" (or 20.8mm).

Precision measurement's not my strong suit, but for the record, this is what it looks like to me:
2975 = .80
2900 = .87
I assumed they'd be the same, so perhaps it's a difference in felt thickness. 2975 has neoprene Blokeshers, 2900 has felts.

I measured a Kanstul 975 euphonium, and they're just right.
