I need some suggestions, assuming average high school talent.

I already have Rochut, Arban, and Remington.

I need one more etude book, preferably one that runs the gamut from easy to advanced, and a duet book that also runs easy to advanced.

Thanks,

Steve

"Amsden's Celebrated Practice Duets" by Arthur Amsden. This is a good one. Available in bass clef or treble clef. It now comes in sprial binding so it lays flat on the music stand (a big plus). Published by C.L. Barnhouse Inc. Music Publishers, Oskaloosa, Iowa. The price on the cover of my copy is $12.50.

Hope this helps.

If you can find a copy, try Aaron Harris' "Advanced Studies". Harris was a euph player in Sousa's Band, and played in many other groups. It's been many years since someone, er, forgot to return my copy, but I remember the quality of the material.

You might want to check out Encore Music Publishers. They have lots of Tuba and Euphonium music (I believe they claim to publish more tuba/euph stuff than anyone else). They have lots of not-so-mainstream and publish the tuba version of the Arban book.

Worth a try...maybe something will catch your eye.
