Double Bell Euphonium Stolen - Please Keep An Eye Out!

Earlier today I was perusing Craigslist listings and came across a 'wanted' ad for a double-bell euphonium. So I e-mailed the guy and gave him Tinker Dan's info. He wrote back to say that his horn had been stolen, hence the need for a 'new' one. I told him I'd post the stolen horn info here in case anyone happens to come across this particular db euph. I also told him that he should describe his horn as having 'front action' piston valves, not 'top action'.

Hello Steve,

Thanks for the referral to Dan. I'll check out his website.

I do indeed need a double bell euphonium.

Reason being, my 1907 Conn was STOLEN at Kiel wisconsin on August 9th.
A Conn with the big bell up and the little bell forward. Silver plated - worn in many places. Four valves. Top action.
There's a nasty deep narrow dent in the top bow. New black generic case. Serial number was 101426 or 101423. Picture below.
I realize the odds of recovering the horn are slim but I'm putting the word out to as many musicians as possible in the hopes that someone will spot it. A double bell euphonium does stand out in any band, pawnshop or antique store. I am offering a substantial reward. If some innocent 3rd person has purchased the horn,
I'll even offer to refund what they paid for it (within reason). I just want my horn back. If anyone spots the horn I ask that they contact me ASAP. 920-726-4577.

Thanks,

Bob Kuether
