Difficulty of BAND parts for Arutunian Concerto

Hey Guys,

Thanks for the feedback on the Wilhelm. It seems like it would be a bit too ambitious. :(

How about the Arutunian Concerto? Same scenario: decent community band, ONE reherarsal

I recently played this with the Fullerton College band (in my opinion a decent community band). The euph part is a bit challanging for just one rehearsal with an amature like myself... I don't know if the other parts are as difficult as the euph part. Just my opinion...

It's do-able if the musicians have the parts to look at ahead of time. The parts aren't "easy" but they aren't "hard" either. Probably the hardest tuba part for any solo piece we've played in our Wind Ensemble but that's not saying much considering the solos we've accompanied for had very easy-intermediate tuba parts.
