Hi again,
I got my new mouthpiece today!
It's the Bruno Tilz Walter Hilgers B-tuba model. Specs below:
model number WH-B 2
inner rim dia 33,0mm
outer dia 48,5mm
depth "deep"
Bore 8,9
I played it briefly this evening, the low range is just amazing !
The rim is well rounded, more than my Denis Wick 2L, very comfortable feeling. Also the piece is heavier than the DW.
The large bore size fits wonderfully with my old B&F kaiser tuba. The low notes just roll out beautifully.
The shank is on the large side for a Yamaha 321 BBb, but its just ok (see lowest mark on the WH B2)
Some pics attached, comparison to my DW 2L.
Bye,
Wim
