Re: Gerhard Baier Brass
Baier makes some awful euphoniums, french horns, trombones. The trombone is a Bach 42 copy with a thin bell. Simply put, it is a crappy horn. Out of tune, and hollow sounding in different registers. The euphoniums are serviceable, but do not play as well as a Yamaha 321.
The bell has the engraving "Made in Germany."
There is a local store that pushes these. When selling Baier to unsuspecting students, the store claimed that a symphony player in our town recommended their french horns. The player found out and called the store to say "stop using my name to sell this ****."
