What the . . . . Sounds like a good old Amish shunning, not facing the audience?
Talk about a socialogical experiment, does any other Orchestra do this?
Very interested in the outcome of these "Changes".
Thanks for posting this Klaus!

So the Bassoon's have a lot of solo's,
and Tuba Players now are better, [Facile?]
so let's give them the solo. :tuba:
Why do I feel like I'm reading a satire story from "The Onion"

September 23rd must be the new April 1st.

I mean really, taking a solo away from a basson and giving it to the tuba! That must be a joke.

So.... does the tuba now sit in the front?

If these things are all true, I'm actually kind of interested in seeing how these turn out. Doesn't hurt to mess around with the canon every once in awhile...

Slatkin warned the orchestra a while ago that he was going to post this. It's meant as a joke.

The original link came from one of the horn lists. This following link came from there also:

This is very funny. It's good to see someone trying to lighten things up in Detroit. The city needs it.
