Dear All,

I am sure this has been done before for TV or other avenues, but we at Cimarron Music Press were recently asked permission to use some of our music for an advertisement to be aired on TV and YouTube. The advertisement is for Coastal Sami Settlement in Norway. They chose one of the movements from Lewis Buckley's "Jazz Suite" which was commissioned for ITEC 2008 and premiered by The Cosmopolitan Quartet (Roland Froescher and Adam Frey, euphoniums, Matthew K. Brown and Michael S. Milnarik, tubas). The recording in the video is from the premiere performance at:

A little info on the video:

This is a video I made for a project in Smørfjord, Finnmark county, up in the far north of Norway. A cousin of mine together with other enthusiasts, have made a reconstruction of a typical coastal Sami settlement as it was around 100 years ago. Almost everyone around there are coastal Sami and for those of you who do not know, the coastal Sami are those of the Sami people who have been living in the fjords and along the coast up there, combining fishing with farming on a small scale. If you are on your way to North Cape, drop by:)

Kind of neat if you ask me!

Take care,
