THOUSANDS of years of instrument development will be demonstrated by a duo at an East Devon concert.
Chris Cranham and Stewart Death, aka Travelling By Tuba, take their audience through 15,000 years of the development of instruments, culminating with the tuba around 100 years ago.
Included are the conch shell, ophicleide, the sackbut, cornett and serpent.
The pair illustrate their presentation with some arrangements of music written for other instruments plus some pieces written specially for the tuba.
