Has anyone transcribed/transposed one or more of the four concerti for tuba, as in down into a more comfortable key for contrabass tuba? I have the Wekselblatt transcription of concerto #3, but it's in the original key. A 3rd lower would be ever so much easier!

You could just buy an F tuba!

You probably want to be careful about dropping the key down too low. They can get muddy!

When we play them, we are already playing them an octave lower than poor Wolfgang would have expected!

Check Hickey's Music. I've played several Mozart Horn Concerto's during my undergraduate career. I think they should have what you want.
