A tuba friend came up with this illustration, which tells Adolphe Sax being the maker.

Some of Sax's Patents. As you can see, there is a similar design in the photo. As I understand, that particular Helicon was to be A Sub/Contrabass/Superlow/whateveryouwannacallit in EEB, like the Majestic Monster Helicon. I peronally would love to play it, and I feel like it would balance very well with that big heavy valve section in the front and that bell so High up and back.
