have recently purchased a new cerveny 686 pxr after 40 years of not playing. At my age it's one step below sex! Really enjoy playing again, lip is slowly coming around but having trouble with low A and G.High E and F good. Not sure if mouthpiece is a standard cerveny or what? Came with horn. Have seen topics on mouthpieces but donot understand the difference or actually what they are talking about since not music major. Would a different mouthpiece help, make any difference or just need to let my lip "mature'? THANKS david

I don't especially care for the generic mpc that came with my 686 either. I'm using a Laskey 30H, and it seems to play a lot better. . . for me. Make sure you get a mpc that fits the receiver. My receiver is European (larger).
