I, too, think that Dave Zerkel is a total stud on the tubaand euphonium!

Before I left the US in September, I picked up his CD and I'm really glad that I have it as a reference for great tuba playing!

Bravo, Mr. Zerkel! I can't wait for the next installment of excellence!

Dave is a great player AND teacher. Do yourself a favor and look him up while you're in the East Metro-Atlanta/Athens,Ga area. Both Euphonium and Tuba players have a great sound model to listen to as well as have a great motivator. Why would anyone from the state of Georgia go out of state for school really boggles my mind.

If anyone is interested in buying the CD, there are a couple of ways of getting it:

1. I won't be shy about this... the preferred method would be to fire off a check for $15 to me at

This is the preferred method, because if you purchase through the other methods, the artist formerly known as "Solvent" doesn't make a red cent. Chances are, I'll be cheaper and quicker than going through an internet vendor.

2. You could order on Amazon, TAP Music, or Mark Records.

My conscience is pretty clear (at least in the music arena!). I've never copied a music CD nor downloaded music of any kind, not a single time. Wonder how many others here could make that claim?

Well, me for one - even resisted with my daughter's performances on flute in college (and me busting with pride at the time, too!)
Well now I know what to ask Santa for!
