Has anyone played "The Music of Led Zeppelin and Queen" show that's touring and can you give me a heads-up on the book? Are there any surprises? Thanks for your help.

I've played the Led Zeppelin show. No real surprises, just a few unusual meter changes and accents that may not follow the pattern of measures. It's lots of fun, especially if you grew up listening to Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, et al.

The book is easy.
My only advice is that you should bring some ear protection. I used foam ear plugs with some ear muffs over my ears. The show is very loud and we took some sound level readings of +110db.

I got to play it this past summer. I figured maybe I'd only be playing on the ballads, but nope! You blow your butt off the whole time, playing the Zeppelin and Queen riffs you're used to hearing. Fun stuff and a lot of playing.

Wow how authentic!
Don’t bring your crystal tuba!

Is that the Obama tuba? Now, I see the transparency(or is that an oxymoron?).

Brian, I like your initiative, and I abuse it for jokes wherever possible. It isn’t crystal, but you know crystal wouldn’t like the glass shattering noise level in rock.
As for the leaks in your tuba, I understand your disappointment, but I will not allow you to give it up.
However there possibly are several leaks along the seam, which calls for different detection methods. My own way is to fill an instrument with water and see where the water comes out. Maybe you will have to tape the whole seam over and then test for leaks in a smaller area, solve the problem there, and then test the next area.
I won’t buy that tuba as long as it leaks. By then, will that said lady still be young?

Genius! Well thought out, Klaus.

Brian, I didn’t tell you to pass your water into the tuba, but there there are other ways to add colour to water.

HI-
Easy parts, but it is so loud it actually makes your body hurt--ear plugs a MUST.

identify the obvious leaks, as it has seams all along it's entire length.
I saw Sam Gnagey use a simple but effective leak detection system when I bought my horn form him: he stuck a miniature basketball down the bell until it sealed, had me blow nice and hard through the mouthpiece/leadpipe, and you can just feel for leaks with your hand. Hope it helps!
