Hi all,

I'm thinking of getting a trumcor straight tube mute-I've played one before and liked it. Do any of you who have one have the "Deluxe" model with the "tuning tube"? And if so, does it improve anything about the mute, or does it just sit there and make buzz & rattle noises?

I have the Trumcor Deluxe Stealth Mute. I have not noticed any major changes that the tuning tube makes in terms of intonation. However, I found that adjusting the lever to make the holes a little more open made playing with the mute in feel a little better/more normal. If I were to buy another Trumcor mute I am not sure I would spend the extra dough to get the Deluxe over the Standard.
