Meinl Weston 451 euphonium vs Yamaha euphonium

Hi all,
There is a Meinl 451 for sale at a good price in great condition. For those of you that have played the 451s and Yamaha 641/642s, how do they compare? In my search for a horn I'm looking a lot at the valve action (is the stroke shorter than the Yamahas)? I've seen some comments that the Meinls have narrow pitch slotting which isn't an issue for my 641 (pitch and intonation are excellent). I also understand the sound on the Meinls is very good. How free do they blow in the pedal and upper octaves?
If this turns out to be a 'good' 451, is it a quality horn as compared to the 641/642?
