Fantastic new brass quintet - Spectrum Brass

Just about everyone on this site has been exposed to a brass quintet in some form or another, either playing in one or listening to a group live or on a CD. The Spectrum Brass Quintet is a little different. They do have the standard instrumentation of two trumpets, one french horn, one trombone, and a tuba. However they play with a drummer, pianist, and a soprano. There debut CD is called "Rhapsody: The Music of George Gershwin" and it sounds great!
Spectrum Brass is joined by Van Cliburn medalist Aviram Reichert on Piano for "Rhapsody in Blue". This is a great arrangement of a very fun piece to listen to. Reichert sounds great and really shines in this style of music.
They even have some of the Broadway hits from Gershwin on the CD. Soprano Elizabeth Stoner has a beautiful voice and really fits in well with the brass quintet. I think that this combination of a singer with a traditional brass quintet is really unique and I hope to see more of this kind of stuff from this group in the future.
