pulled abdominal muscle

Not sure if it was the tennis, racquetball,shovelling gravel or over practicing but i now have a pain in my lower to mid left abdominal area that is dull until I play , then can be sharp.Will see a doc next week but any advice til then?By the way bought the PETE from warburton and highly recommend it.
