pat sheridan mouthpieces
i've been interested in a pat sheridan mouthpiece for my tuba (cb-50) can someone tell me their experience with the orchestral models from the sheridan line? would one of the smaller pieces be a good choice for solos on my CC? any input will be helpful. thanks

I second this notion. I own an S3, and it is a dream for my Eb tuba. I have since had it gold plated, and I like it even more now! I have also tried an S02 in gold, and it was quite good on a HB-21. I have used the S3 on my C for lighter style orchestral rep, with great results!Kevin Bock wrote:Both the S3, solo, and the 02, orchestral, are incredible mouthpieces. I would really suggest testing out an 02 for ensemble and "big tuba" music while the s3 is an amazing solo "little tuba" mouthpiece. I play a PT4 CC and a Meinl Weston 2182 F for reference.
Good Luck!
Just a word of advice: Gold really does make these MP's a lot better...
