Does anyone know if there is a period treatise about performance practice of the serpent? I am gearing up to write a paper regarding baroque performance practice and I'm trying to figure out if there is enough information to do this.

If I remember correctly, Douglas Yeo has a thing on his website about playing the serpent. There is a link to his website on the tips page. He has a few articles about the serpent and you can email him from his web page. The articles that are on his web page are very interesting.
